Super Random Investments

Tye and I have a lot of friends that recently got married or are getting married. I have some advice for you if this is the stage of life you find yourself in. If it isn't, tuck it away.

Seriously, I am not sure there is better advice. When we were wedding planning, we spent some great quality time with the little lady at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. I love that store, but the girl drove me crazy. She had so much "helpful" information- that I was overwhelmed and just wanted to leave. I wanted to do my own research rather than her telling me which brand or product I would like better. She doesn't know me.

Pots & Pans. What makes the girl at BBB think I would want Cuisinart over Calphalon? Yes, I know I will pay more for the name "Calphalon" when it comes to pots and pans. You know what though, I wanted the Calphalon pots & pans dadgumit. Sorry for that rant. I haven't regretted my Calphalon pots & pans once. I love them.

Sheets. Tye is probably annoyed at me every time we get in bed. It's almost a nightly routine- me commenting on how much I love our sheets. I'm not joking. I LOVE THEM. They are soft jersey cotton, and I don't know that I will ever be able to sleep on anything else.  I don't know what else to tell you-they are wonderful.

Photos. This is something I am extremely passionate about. As a super super super amateur photographer, I know that great images are not easy to obtain. When we were planning our wedding, I consistently said I wanted to pay the most for images (compared to everything else), because I wanted to be confident in the person I chose to document our day. Pictures are the only thing you have after the wedding day is over (other than your marriage, a dress in a box, etc...). The images from our wedding day remind me of each person that was there, the details that went into the day, the joy we felt. I have no regrets in the photographer I chose. I was and still am extremely happy with the photos we received and the timeliness of receiving them after the big day. Looking past our wedding, photos are something that we will invest in for our family. I plan to make a yearbook every December to document what happened throughout the year. To do so, I need good quality images.

Super random, I know.
