coincidence
Well, it has been a while. A lot has happened, and honestly I'm not sure how much I will end up sharing on here. Us moving to Bentonville was definitely a coincidence. The Lord certainly can't be involved in everyone's lives.
Right..
The Lord provided an opportunity for Tye to take a position in Bentonville teaching engineering classes at the high school.
July 25 was our going away party in Springfield with friends.

July 26 was my last day at CoxHealth.
On July 27, we loaded and moved all of our things into storage in Bella Vista, Arkansas.
On July 28, we settled in at my parents' house. We plan to stay until I find a job.
The following week we received news that my dad had melanoma in his colon, a form of cancer that would most likely require surgery and radiation. We covet your prayers as we travel through this season.
I am so grateful for the Lord's promises. Exodus 14:14 comes to mind often. "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." It has been so precious to me to see the Lord work. Such sorrowful moments have come in the light of joyous days.
Tye officially accepted his position with Bentonville on June 3, our anniversary. That date solidified our move to NWA. My dad's surgery is this Wednesday, August 21. That date just so happens to be my parents' anniversary. Coincidence...
When my mom called to schedule dad's surgery, the scheduler told her that Mercy (our preferred hospital) was very difficult to get into quickly. She suggested seeing if other hospitals were in our insurance network. While my mom was waiting for a response from my dad's company, the scheduler called back. A hold had been placed on the 21 by someone in my dad's doctor's office, but the scheduler didn't recall placing it. Coincidence...
On Friday, we packed Carlie up and moved her into the UofA in Fayetteville for her freshman year of college.
Carlie got settled and is ready for marching band practice all this week before school starts next week. The house is significantly quieter without her loud walking and blaring music. It is more peaceful..but sometimes chaos is nice. Yes, I did just say that. Be thankful for both. Both are gifts from the Lord.

In all of this, I am still looking for a job. Tye and I are searching for our new church home and building friendships.
It's been such a gift to be home during this time. It's also been a blessing to know that the members of my family are praying constantly for each other.
We are each experiencing something new, scary, and out of our control. I believe that the Lord makes everything beautiful in its time, and I can't wait to see what He will make of this season.
Romans 12:12 "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

This week is a big week in our house. Carlie has band stuff all week..learning to march with the UofA band and getting settled into college/dorm life. Tye has his first day with students Monday at Bentonville. Dad's surgery and my parents' anniversary are Wednesday. My birthday and Tiger Pride (Bentonville's big football kickoff) are Saturday. Did I mention Tye was recruited to help with one of the BHS freshmen football teams? Yeah, that happened a week ago..so he's been busy.
